Okay, so we’re getting lower with this “if Apple did…” posts today but this is the award winning ‘Pad‘ in Dubai and is supposedly, and I quote, “the world’s most high-tech residential tower” and “the first cybertecture apartment building in the world.”
I know what your thinking, “Cybertecture? What the hell does that mean?”.
Well apparently, throughout this 230 apartment building, (which incidentally has a case of man-made Pisa tilt - 7 degrees in fact) it has, among other things;
Rotating living and dining rooms giving you 360-degree views of Dubai.
Real-time projection feeds to change your outside view that project the New York skyline or Caribbean or onto your windows (but seriously why would you?).
Video conferencing link projected into your dining room, perfect for that intimate trans-continental dinner for 2.
Reactive lighting that responds to incoming phone calls and the residents’ moods.
Bathrooms fitted with equipment that monitors your temperature, weight and blood pressure.
The Pad is due to be completed in 2009.
