Getting It Out

Generally I am impressed and amazed by something every single day, whether it is a new gadget or my 18 month old son saying a new word or learning a new skill but today something has quite literally blown me away. Google maps has always been a strong contender for my favourite web 2.0 facility/gadget/site but they have surpassed themselves the time.

We are all pretty familiar with the satellite view but now, on some of the major US cities, they have introduced “Street View”. By moving the little orange man icon around the map you can now get a 360 degree view of that position. Not only that you can then navigate along the streets in the Street View browser!

How insane is that!

Google, even though I think at some point you will rule the world in some crazed electronic dictatorship fashion, for now my hat is off to you!
